Logomo – the congress venue

Logomo is a centre for culture, arts and creative economy operating from the defunct locomotive workshop near the main railway station, with trains stopping right next to Logomo. It is also close to the bus station and to Turku city centre.

When arriving at Logomo from the city centre, the railway tracks can be crossed via two bridges: the Logomo Bridge (called Logomon silta in Finnish), at the end of Ajurinkatu Street, or a pedestrian bridge near the old railway station. Walking from the Market Square takes about 20 minutes. We recommend arriving by foot or by public transport.

The conference participants will receive complimentary bus passes for Turku region public transport, which enable unlimited use of Turku region traffic (city buses) during the conference.

There is a construction site near the Logomo, which causes some traffic changes. If you arrive by car, access to the Logomo is via Köydenpunojankaari street to the Vaunukatu street or to the Veturikatu street. Please note that parking is subject to a fee and there are a limited number of spaces. More information here.

Accessibility

Accessibility played a crucial role during Logomo’s design phase. Every floor can be accessed by a lift and the number of doorway thresholds has been kept minimal. Hearing accessibility has been ensured through the use of portable loop systems. More information about accessibility.
